Senior’s Ministry
“We walk by faith and not by sight.” – 1 Cor. 5:7
The First Baptist Senior’s Ministry was created for those 65 and older in order to keep our senior’s active in ministry. We strive to make our senior’s feel that they are valuable to the church and that we are grateful for all they do. We want to show our appreciation to our senior’s for their work and dedication to the ministry with love, joy, and happiness.
Events and Services
Senior’s Day Celebration
Each year during the month of September, we honor the senior members of our church with a Senior’s Day program. This service is held during morning service.
Senior’s Breakfast
Pastor and First Lady Guthrie enjoy an annual breakfast with the senior’s of First Baptist at a restaurant of their choosing. Breakfast is provided for all senior’s 65 and older, while those under 65 are still invited to come.
Senior Outings
The Senior’s Ministry will often take trips to different destinations in order to fellowship together and remian active. Theseoutings can range from a simple lunch to a trip to the movies.
